CLUB HISTORY

The Weston Organ & Keyboard Club was formed in October 1997. Since its formation the Club has continued to thrive. On commencement many of the Club’s Meeting nights were made up of Members bringing their own instruments to play and entertain, but as it has grown the Members and Visitors are now mostly entertained by Professional Organ or Keyboard Players, with an occasional Social Evening.

At the commencement the Club met at Emmanuel Church Hall in Oxford Street until the 6th August 1998 and from there moved to the Royal Hotel, South Parade, Weston-super-Mare.

Resulting in a change of ownership and the refurbishment of the Royal, the Club had to find an alternative venue in November 2001 and temporarily moved to St. Paul’s Church Hall. On completion of the works at the Royal we returned in April 2002 until end of 2007.

Due to the increased charges required by The Royal Hotel at the end of 2007, we relocated to venue at Weston Football Club and consider this our best move to date.

Circumstances have again forced the Club to move venue.  As from 7th July 2022 Concerts are now held at the Bleadon Coronation Hall and consider this our best move to date.
