CLUB HISTORY
The Weston Organ & Keyboard Club was formed in October 1997. Since its formation the Club has continued to thrive. On commencement many of the Club’s Meeting nights were made up of Members bringing their own instruments to entertain, but as it has grown the Members and Visitors are now mostly entertained by Professional Organ or Keyboard Players, with an occasional Social Evening. At the start the Club met at Emmanuel Church Hall in Oxford Street until the 6th August 1998 but from there we moved to the Royal Hotel, South Parade, Weston-super-Mare. Resulting in a change of ownership and the refurbishment of the Royal, the Club had to find an alternative venue in November 2001 and temporarily moved to St. Paul’s Church Hall. On completion of the works at the Royal we returned until end of 2007. As a result of increased charges required by The Royal Hotel at the end of 2007, we relocated to our present venue at the Weston Football Club.
